Columbia Leadership Summit
Columbia Leadership Summit (CLS) is an exciting opportunity geared towards students serving leadership roles on campus and towards students aspiring to hold leadership roles in campus organizations in the future. CLS is a day-long program of open communication and social networking amongst invited student leaders. The program provides a unique opportunity for students to discuss campus dynamics for active community-building and ways to effectively improve communication inter-institutionally and intra-institutionally.
With a special focus on campus programming and communication, students will identify ways to share resources and collaborate to plan successful events throughout the academic year
- Student Feedback:
- Excellent. Best asset was present admin. Get more for next year and this will be one of the most important events of the year!
- Best Parts: meeting with other student campus leaders; conversation with administrators
- Loved the interaction with students/faculty, candid interaction with faculty was amazing
- I enjoyed the event and liked getting the chance to interact with the faculty was amazing! Thank you so much!
- Very effective Summit; I love how we moved from group to group organizing interactions with different people;
- This was a very thought-provoking information session that provided a great opportunity for introductions and meeting members of the leadership community.
- This Summit was remarkably fabulous. I feel the panel discussions gave an abundance of information, especially to new members like myself.
- I found the small group discussions the most effective because we were able to share great ideas and vast experiences.
- I think this would be fabulous if it were held multiple times annually
- Great choice of day; liked the administrative portion; first panel: would have liked to be more participatory
- I think the event was even better than I expected. It was organized, informative, and having the deans of CC and SEAS close it off was a great touch! Great work!
- I especially enjoyed the administrator-student discussion. Very inspiring event overall!
